The forced ventilation precooling (forced air cooler) method is a precooling technology developed on the basis of precooling in the cold storage room (precooling room). It refers to a method of directly cooling fruits in containers with cold air in cold storage (precooling room) or other facilities with large refrigeration internal force and air supply volume. Due to the increased air flow, the cooling speed of the fruit is significantly increased compared to the in-storage pre-cooling method. Generally, the time used for forced cold air cooling is 4 to 10 times less than that of general cooling pre-cooling, but it is longer than the time used for cooling water and vacuum cooling.
Packing boxes need to be stacked on both sides of the air duct according to a special palletizing method. A fan is used to force-circulate cold air to create a pressure difference on both sides of the packaging box. The cold air passes through the packaging box and takes away the heat of the vegetables in the packaging box. Achieve the purpose of cooling vegetables. The advantage of differential pressure ventilation cooling is that the cooling speed is 2 to 6 times faster than forced ventilation cooling. It only takes 2 to 6 hours to cool vegetables from normal temperature to about 5°C. The vegetables after differential pressure ventilation pre-cooling have a short temporary storage time, a high turnover rate, and the vegetables are cooled relatively evenly, so it is suitable for pre-cooling of various vegetables. The disadvantage is that the holding capacity of differential pressure ventilation cooling is lower than that of forced ventilation cooling, which is generally 60-70% of the capacity of forced ventilation cooling. Palletizing times are longer than forced air cooling. The cost of a differential pressure ventilation cooling warehouse is lower than a vacuum cooling unit, but higher than a forced draft cooling warehouse.
