Cold room is one warehouse, with certain desired room temperature and humidity by mechanical refrigeration and modern fresh care technoligy, storing special products in industry of food, medicine, meat, fruit, vegetable, chemical, seafood, cultivation, agriculture, technology testing, raw material and biologicals. With acceleration of modernization, application of cold room storage is more and more wider in different industrials and fields.
Cold room is composed of room body, refrigeration unit, evaporator, electric control box, expansion valve, copper pipe, wire, refrigerant and other related necessary materials.

In the cold storage industry, there is a special type of cold storage - pharmaceutical cold storage. There are two types of pharmaceutical cold storage: GMP and GSP. GSP is the quality management standard for pharmaceutical business, and GMP is the quality management standard for pharmaceutical production.

1. Medicine cold storage: 2~+10°C, mainly used for medicine storage, humidity 45~75%.
2. Vaccine cold storage: 0~+8°C, commonly used for the storage of vaccines and pharmaceuticals. The temperature and humidity of the cold storage for special vaccines and pharmaceuticals shall be specified separately.
3. Blood cold storage: -5~+1°C, can store blood, biological products, etc.
4. Plasma cold storage: -20~-30°C, used for plasma, biological material, vaccine storage.

Cold storage requirements:
1. Two sets of independent refrigeration systems to prevent the temperature of the cold storage from fluctuating due to problems in one set;
2. Backup power supply, cold storage should be equipped with emergency power supply to prevent sudden power failure;
3. Equipment for automatic monitoring, display, recording, regulation and alarm of temperature and humidity in the warehouse;
4. The area of the cold storage is not less than 20 cubic meters. According to different standards, the construction volume of enterprises is different;
